CHECKING BACK IN
It's been a long while since I last had a new post. And I have to admit, a lot has happened since the last day I last came out with an entry.
I. First week- College of St. Benilde
CSB is not really that bad when you're already inside. It has CLA-like feel. Its just that CSB has more buildings. Plus, our classroom has demolition-like sounds due to basketball practices at the top floor. In short, the gym is at the top of our classroom. The proffesors ain't that bad either, what with having a NATSCI proffesor who has been literally all over the La Salle system schools, having taught at De La Salle - Dasmarinas, DLSU - main and at CSB, and having a Business Math professor who pronounces twelve as twolb. And it really makes me feel good to know that I'm now the person being asked with questions, meaning they ask me to teach them MATH! As at DLSU back in the day, I'm always the person asking questions. Oh its true.
II. Anakin, you're breaking my heart
I can't justify the movie because I haven't seen any other Star Wars movie YET. But as to the movie itself, I found it, well, not really bad, but not really good. Effects were terrific. Natalie Portman was as usual hot, and Master Yoda is indeed the master. One thing I didn't realize though, Darth Vader had emotion. I apologize to all Star Wars geeks but I really thought back when I was a kid that Darth Vader was a robot. I just realized during the showing of episode one that he wasn't. And his shouting of "NOOOOOOOOO..." complete with the crumpling of metal stuff and shaking all over the place justified to me that he was human. And as for that scene? It was horrible. Plus, the pregnant amidala with this huge tummy running to anakin effortlessly. Uhuh, another boo-boo. but again, all in all, it was ok. I will recommend it not because of the story of episode III, but because its the last installment of the star wars saga.
III. Maki
I, together with pogz, chudor, and arun had to catch a 9pm jeep to go to bj's place for maki's birthday "bash". I enjoyed the thing not because of the drinks (I don't really drink anymore, lest hard drinks or mixes) but because of the company. We were supposed to stay for just a few minutes to be able to have our palabra de honor to him. The thing that got us going was chris del castillo's isopropyl alcohol dousing at the mixed drinks. And oh yeah, the rain/bad weather and my 6-9 RECONSE class on a friday didn't help our cause.
IV. Getting in touch with emotions
I suddenly woke up one summer day finally at peace with myself. Finally getting over the hump wasn't easy, but its doable, if you know what I mean. Ah, serenity. I'll find her someday. But for now, studies first. And this time, I really mean it.
I have to go. Next time.
Peace out!
