SUPERMAN RETURNS?
I haven't been updating much because of school work and at the same time the lack of things to blog about.
As the title suggested, I watched Superman Returns earlier today with my parents. It was a good movie, as a Superman movie should be. But, I think the movie could still have been improved. So, again, I'll go out on a limb and say that Superman Returns is a good movie, but not a great, unforgettable, classic, one-for-the-ages movie. But hey, at least this movie got my enthusiasm back in watching my Smallville season 5 episodes.
And, for the parents of young kids, I know that Superman is a fantasy/sci-fi movie, but if you're child/children are restless or rowdy and converts the moviehouse into a playground, maybe you should have second thoughts about bringing them to the movie. You should at least take into consideration that the moviehouse is not your private home theatre. Other people are watching too, you know. Don't get me wrong, I don't have ANY bias against kids/toddlers. I myself have a one-year old nephew who is a wonderful young kid. All I'm saying is if your kid is going to just run around a moviehouse, albeit in the dark, you should think twice about it. And besides, they may hurt themsleves running around and not seeing too much.
I think this is a great time for me to watch movies again. Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest is up after Superman on July 12[I think], plus we have Spider-man 3 coming at hte end of the year. I have to tell you, I CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT FOR SPIDER-MAN 3.
Pacquiao-Larios is just a wink away. I hope "Pacman", as the foreign press "fondly" addresses him, will not be a "pain-in-the-ass, overconfident and overzealous son of a gun". We all know the advantages of a hometown crowd. And here's really hoping it doesn't get to his head. As if that'll happen. For the cherry on the sunday, if Pacquiao loses tomorrow[I really hope not, we don't need another embarrassment], I only have one thing to say to you, "pal": stick to boxing. period.
Midterms are coming up. Can't believe 7 weeks have passed since the opening of classes. If all goes well, I'm down to my last 3 terms in college. 3 terms. Who would've funked it. Even myself is still in awe. Oh well.
Its already VERY late. Got to get a nap.
Peace out!
