MEMORIES OF DAYS GONE BY
Earlier today, I was looking at this blog, trying to read what I previously wrote about. Then I suddenly felt the urge to look at my archives. I realized right then and there that, I have been blogging for almost 2 years now. And based on what I have been blogging, I summarized everything with one thing: my previous entries lacked reflections.
You see, I'm a reflective person [even though it doesn't seem that way], and everything that happens to me, I try to look for something positive to learn, or like looking on the bright side of it, know what I'm saying? If something bad happens, it doesn't mean we fall down. Yes, we fall down but it doesn't mean we have to stay down.
This "philosophy" is what I'm applying in my transfer to CSB. A year ago, I wasn't really looking forward to transferring to another school. I loved La Salle and everything that it stood for. But, it came to a point that I had to move on to other things. So, I was off to CSB.
In CSB, for the past year, I have seen what CSB is all about. Yes, there are spoiled brats who doesn't even know how to spend their huge daily allowances. There are students who just like to call students - come to class, and, um, just stay inside the classroom and chill. That's how low dumb CSB students can get. But for the others that work hard and didn't get the opportunity to get in [or in my case, stay in] DLSU, those are some damn smart people. They work their ass off just to be on top. I, for one, will have to admit I always try to stay at the top as long as I can.
There's this line that our accounting professor told us while in his class: "I don't believe CSB is a school of second chances." If what he meant by "second chances" is people that didn't get the chance to study at DLSU, that I wouldve understood. But he should've taken into consideration that for other students, like me, CSB gave me a chance at redemption - a chance I never thought I would never get. CSB redeemed me for the mistakes I committed in the past. They gave me a new lease on life, an opportunity to get even with the people who thought I'm nothing but a happy-go-lucky kid. I know some of them that thiks like that, well, just in the back of their minds anyway.
CSB is INDEED a school of second chances. If you still don't believe, why don't you check it out for yourself, playa?
Peace out!
